Official Site of the Ladies Professional Wrestling Association
Heidi Lee Morgan comes from a wrestling family. Her father, Lester Morgan, wrestled as "Toolie McTavish" of the McTavish Brothers" during the 1970s. Heidi was only ten years old when she made her debut as his valet, Daisy Mae.
However, Heidi was more interested in bodybuilding than wrestling. She didn't consider wrestling until she was approached by Vince McMahon after she had presented a bodybuilding exhibition in Philadelphia. Once she decided to give wrestling a try, her father sent her to train with The Fabulous Moolah in South Carolina. Although Heidi is small for a wrestler, her bodybuilding background allowed her to hold her own against much larger women, some of whom outweighed her by as much as 30 pounds. After a brief tour of the independent circuit, Heidi signed with the National Wrestling Federation. In May of 1987, the rookie wrestler became part of women's wrestling history as part of the first female steel cage match.
Heidi's career was cut short in the mid 1990s when she broke her back in a bad fall during a match with an inexperienced girl who lost her balance during an aerial maneuver. Although Heidi's career was brief, she wrestled world-wide with tours of Europe and South America, as well as Japan. She fought with most of the greats of women's wrestling while in the Ladies Professional Wrestling Association and World Wrestling Federation (now WWE).
